Volunteer judges will speak about the courts and other law-related topics to help students better understand the judicial system.
The high court developed the bureau to allow easier connections between judges interested in speaking with students and teachers who'd like to have guest speakers.
Speakers may be used for special events such as Law Day and Constitution Day or could speak as part of a lesson plan. An online directory is available for teachers to find judges near their schools.
For more information on the Judges Speakers Bureau, contact Jennifer Bauer of the Indiana Judicial Center at (317) 232-1313.
