The Hurst Award is named in honor of Henry Hurst, the first federal clerk of the district court of Indiana.
Through his nearly 20-year career serving the state, Henry Hurst showcased the importance of and value in having highly skilled court personnel assisting the federal judiciary, according to a news release from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
Nominees for the Hurst Award follow in his footsteps—assisting the federal courts and promoting justice and efficiency within Indiana’s legal system.
