The states filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida last week. Attorney General Greg Zoeller notified the Florida Attorney General's Office that it intends to join as one of the multi-state plaintiffs. With 14 states sharing in the legal fight, Zoeller believes legal costs to Indiana can be significantly reduced.
Zoeller has said it's in the best interest of everyone to raise the constitutional questions of the new legislation to the U.S. Supreme Court.
