Mitch Daniels to fill an upcoming vacancy after St. Joseph Superior Judge William T. Means retires Sept. 30. The five nominees were chosen by the commission following public interviews Sept. 12.
The five candidates are Elizabeth C. Hurley, lead deputy prosecuting attorney in the family violence special victims unit of the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s office; Lee Korzan, sole practitioner and civil litigation attorney; Margot Fisher Reagan, civil litigation attorney in the South Bend law firm Tuesley Hall Konopa; Jeffrey Lane Sanford, sole practitioner and St. Joseph County deputy public defender; and Sen. Joseph C. Zakas, R-Granger, attorney in the law firm Thorne Grodnik.
The governor has 60 days to name an appointment to the court.
