Vernon E. Jordan Jr. will share his thoughts about the current presidential campaign and other topics in his lecture, “America – Crossing Boundaries of Possibility.” Jordan was executive director of the United Negro College Fund Inc., president and CEO of the National Urban League Inc., served as an advisor to President Bill Clinton, and has practiced law in Arkansas and Georgia. He currently is senior managing director of a New York investment banking firm and senior counsel at the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of DePauw University and Howard University School of Law.
The lecture will be at 2:30 p.m. at Whittenberger Auditorium at the Indiana Memorial Union, 900 E. Seventh St. The lecture is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a question-and-answer session. The Neal-Marshall Lecture in Public Policy began in 1989 as a partnership between the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Neal-Marshall Alumni Club.
