Subscribe NowIndiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller has been appointed to co-chair the National Association of Attorneys General Consumer Protection Committee, his office announced today. The president of the National Association of Attorneys General, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper, appointed Zoeller. The term is for one year and will end next summer following the meeting of the NAAG.
The committee works to improve the enforcement of consumer protection laws by state attorneys general. As co-chair, Zoeller will review the effect of the recently passed Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act on state consumer protection laws. The committee also supports multi-state consumer protection enforcement efforts, coordinates training opportunities for law enforcement, and promotes information exchange among state and federal agencies to aid investigations.
