The Criminal Law and Sentencing Policy Study Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. in Room 130. It has not released an agenda for the hearing.
Among the duties assignment to this body is the preparation of legislation making necessary corrections regarding the overhaul of the criminal code that the Indiana General Assembly approved during its 2013 session. It has also been charged with studying advisory sentences and recidivism.
The committee is chaired by Sen. R. Michael Young, R-Indianapolis.
The Commission on Courts, chaired by Sen. Brent Steele, R-Bedford, will meet at 2 p.m. in Room 130. According to its agenda, the commission will be examining the issue of contents of judgment dockets.
