Defense attorneys and other lawyers together at the Women in the Law luncheon. (Submitted photo)On April 17, 2014, more than 60 female defense attorneys attended the kick-off luncheon for DTCI’s newest committee: Women in the Law. Attendees received advice and encouragement from Julia Blackwell Gelinas of Frost Brown Todd, the Hon. Heather Welch of Marion Superior Court, and Michele Calderon Johns of Indiana University Health. The event was moderated by Kori McOmber of Indiana University Health Risk Retention Group. Helpful, practical advice was shared by the speakers and attendees alike.
