2014 was an unbelievably good year.

With my President’s message, I would usually end with a rhyme.
So for the last time, I will do it in every line.
Leadership at the IndyBar starts at the top.
Julie Armstrong is a rock star with a great shop.
She has wisdom, good judgment and incredible energy to boot.
Ask her for guidance and you will get a 21-gun salute.
Kari Hartman’s passion is helping recent grads.
Pass the bar exam and avoid raising the white flag.
She enjoys working with the law students like they are her own.
She keeps them studying hard and throws them an occasional bone.
Mary Kay Price reinvigorated our communications to all of you.
While managing several sections, committees and divisions too.
Her rejuvenation of the website has information galore.
There’s so much reading, it is never a bore.
Tara Moore is magnificent with a creative mind.
All of the design and artwork is one of a kind.
We are blessed to have someone who loves to create.
Give her an assignment and she will never be late.
Caren Chopp has excelled in pro bono like no other.
The Diversity Job Fair won national accolades to satisfy a proud mother.
She loves her job and helping those in need.
You provide numerous volunteers so she does not have to plead.
Natalie Cox is a Jill of all trades (must be politically correct).
She makes sure that the checks are timely sent so there are no crazy tirades.
If you have a project and don’t know who can do it.
Call upon Natalie, she will never refuse it.
Ashley Maxwell is always smiling at the front desk.
She’s answering the phone, never giving her voice or ear a rest.
Always providing a pleasant greeting when you walk in the door.
She always asks you if she can help you, can she do more.
Our new employee, Rachel Beachy, is young and yearning to learn.
She sometimes has an inquisitive look that’s not easy to discern.
But she also is willing to tackle any task.
Her enthusiasm and excitement is not easy to mask.
Behind the scenes we have Morgan Hartig and Nick Moskalick, the lawyer referral system staff.
They field calls and despite the stories, never laugh.
They give callers the name of a lawyer who can provide aid.
A match suitable for heaven is often made.
Besides the staff, I had an enthusiastic, tireless and zealous board.
Debating challenging issues with ultimate satisfaction and accord.
They served all of you with relentless pride and joy.

So, it is now time to transition all of my work to John Trimble, my first-year law school
roommate.

He already has a great number of people willing to volunteer and help him this year.
I know he will tackle the challenges with no trepidation or fear.
So, for the very last time, I stand humbly writing my thanks.
My thorough enjoyment as President was worth more than all the money in the banks.
But I was merely the ringleader for all of the outstanding people who helped me.
Position the IndyBar to be a shining, stunning and brilliant marquee.•
