Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings said Thursday that Republican and Democratic representatives in the county's Voter Registration Office have concerns about signatures and names. He tells The (Anderson) Herald Bulletin the concerns have merit and that an Indiana State Police investigation will be requested following the May 5 primary in the county northeast of Indianapolis.
Cummings said the allegations involve several people who have submitted absentee ballot requests and voter registration. He declined to be more specific.
Madison County Democratic Chairwoman Ludy Watkins said, "Any questionable ballots or registrations need to be investigated."
