About 100 new Americans will become citizens Thursday during a naturalization ceremony sponsored by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

The event is open to the public and will take place at 10 a.m. in the Pershing Auditorium of the Indiana War Memorial, 400 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. District Judge Mark J. Dinsmore will administer the oath of citizenship, and the Broad Ripple High School Choir will sing patriotic songs.

Also attending will be representatives of the offices of U.S. senators Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly, representatives Susan Brooks and Andre Carson and Gov. Mike Pence.

Representatives of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, Immigrant Welcome Center, the International Center and other organizations also will attend.
