The BLE notes passage is only one of the requirements need to be admitted practice in Indiana, and no one is able to practice law until admitted.

A total of 258 people took the February exam, with 154 taking it for the first time. The overall pass rate was 51 percent, and 62 percent for first-time takers. The pass rate for repeat takers was 35 percent.
The overall bar passage rate of 51 percent was the lowest since the February 2002 bar exam.
A bar admission ceremony for eligible candidates will be held at 10 a.m. May 11 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.
