The Richmond Palladium-Item reported 57-year-old Carol Study of the Dublin Town Council was sentenced Monday to one year of probation. She was arrested in February and charged in March with resisting law enforcement.
Online court records in Wayne County show a plea agreement was reached in the case June 1. The resisting law enforcement charge was dismissed and Study pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Study finished fifth in a six-way race for five seats on the Dublin Town Council in last November's election. She previously was appointed to fill a vacancy.
