Save the Date: Volunteer at the Fall Paternity Court Mediation Day
The IndyBar Alternative Dispute Resolution Section will host its annual Fall Paternity Court Mediation Day on Friday, Sept. 30 at the offices of Barnes & Thornburg LLP (11 S. Meridian Street).
Through Mediation Day, the section and volunteers provide a service to Paternity Court and the community by volunteering to mediate several screened cases for litigants who qualify for modest means mediation. Barnes & Thornburg has generously volunteered its downtown office to provide ample conference facilities for this joint endeavor.
To make this event a success, 10 volunteers who are registered domestic mediators and have experience mediating paternity cases are needed. Ten cases will be ready to be mediated on September 30, five in the morning and five in the afternoon. Each volunteer mediator would agree to mediate one case. Mark your calendars and keep an eye out for more details regarding this fun event! Contact Phyllis Armstrong at [email protected] for more information or to volunteer.•
