Suspensions
Vigo County attorney John H.N. Claussen was suspended from the practice of law for noncooperation with the disciplinary commission’s investigation of a grievance per an April 24 order. He also was ordered to reimburse the commission $519.68 for the costs of prosecuting the proceeding. The suspension was terminated effective April 27, per a subsequent court order issued April 30.
Johnson County attorney Joseph Patrick Hudspeth was suspended from the practice of law for at least 18 months, without automatic reinstatement, effective June 6, per an April 25 published per curium opinion, In the Matter of Joseph Patrick Hudspeth, 41S00-1612-DI-659. Hudspeth neglected clients and made false claims of his legal experience and expertise in violation of numerous Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct. Costs of the proceedings are assessed against Hudspeth.
Marion County attorney Felicia L. Howells was suspended for at least 180 days without automatic reinstatement under the terms of a published order approving a statement of circumstances and conditional agreement for discipline dated April 24. Howells communicated fictitious settlements for a client. The suspension begins June 5, and Howells is assessed the costs of the proceeding.
Howard County attorney Charles R. Huston’s December 2017 suspension for noncooperation with the investigation of a grievance was converted to an indefinite suspension per an April 24 order.
Marion County attorney Milton Bradberry Jr.’s December 2017 suspension for noncooperation with the investigation of a grievance was converted to an indefinite suspension per an April 24 order.
Reprimand
Johnson County Deputy Prosecutor Andrew C. Eggers was issued a public reprimand in an April 24 order for his plea of guilty to a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more. The agreed discipline order assesses the costs of the proceeding against Eggers.
