REPRIMAND
Vanderburgh County attorney Jared Michel Thomas was publicly reprimanded per a Dec. 6 order for failing to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client whose house was destroyed by arson. Thomas and the other attorney communicated little and did little work on their case. Costs of the proceedings are assessed against Thomas.
RESIGNATION
Brown County attorney Andrew Szakaly, Jr. resigned from the practice of law Dec. 6 for representing a couple in business and real estate matters in Florida, where he wasn’t licensed. He had numerous trust account violations for commingling personal or business funds with clients’ funds and failed to keep records. Costs are assessed against Szakaly.•
