Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Glick’s appointment Monday as a non-lawyer member of the JNC. She succeeds Molly Kitchell, whose term will expire Dec. 31. Glick’s term will begin Jan. 1 and will run through Dec. 31, 2022.
Earlier this month, bar members elected Indianapolis attorney William E. Winingham Jr. as the District II representative to the JNC and Indiana Judicial Qualifications Commission. Winingham, a partner at Wilson Kehoe Winingham, was elected to succeed personal injury attorney James H. Young of Indianapolis, whose term also expires Dec. 31.
The JNC consists of three attorneys elected by the members of the bar in northern, central and southern Indiana and three lay members appointed from each district by the governor, and it is chaired by Chief Justice Loretta Rush. The JNC’s duties include interviewing and nominating judges to the Indiana Court of Appeals and justices to the Indiana Supreme Court, while the JQC investigates and prosecutes allegations of judicial misconduct.
