On both April 3 and May 1, IndyBar members will be able to access the month’s free CLE program online! Starting at midnight, you’ll be able to access the program online until 11:59 p.m. that evening. April’s program is In-House Insights and May’s program is Hot Topics in the World of Environmental Insurance Coverage. Need a headshot? Try these tips at home!
We’re sorry to have to cancel the Free Fridays headshot offering for both April and May, but don’t fret: you can take a professional, high-quality headshot yourself at home!
• All you need is a digital camera or smartphone. If you’re using a phone, make sure you’re shooting in high-resolution mode so that you get a higher-quality image.
• Utilize natural light. Unless you have professional-grade studio lighting, it’ll be hard for you to get the light right. It’s better for you to take advantage of natural lighting – it’ll look warmer and more inviting, too!
• There’s such thing as TOO much natural light, though. You can get washed out, there can be awkward shadows, etc. Don’t take your photo with too much sunlight.
• The simpler the background, the better. You don’t want your background to take the focus off you. Simple textures are best!
