Indiana Court of Appeals

D.W. v. State of Indiana (mem. dec.)
20A-JV-1811
Juvenile. Affirms the order waiving D.W. into adult court following the state’s petition alleging him to be a delinquent. Finds the juvenile court did not abuse its discretion in waiving D.W. into adult court given his history of sexually abusing multiple children since 2012.

In the Matter of the Termination of the Parent-Child Relationship of J.D. and L.D. (Minor Children); T.D. (Father) v. Indiana Department of Child Services (mem. dec.)
21A-JT-38
Juvenile termination of parental rights. Affirms the termination of father T.D.’s parental rights over his minor children. Finds T.D. has not shown that the Indiana Department of Child Services presented insufficient evidence to support the termination of his parental rights over L.D. and J.D.

Joseph Rizzo v. Midwest Training and Ice Center, Inc. (mem. dec.)
21A-CT-126
Civil tort. Affirms the grant of summary judgment to Midwest Training & Ice Center Inc. in a dispute with Joseph Rizzo. Finds that because Nicholas Wedster’s action was not foreseeable, Midwest Training did not have a duty to protect Rizzo from an unforeseeable and unfortunate act.
