This year’s auction, which will begin at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24, will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis, a nonprofit organization that provides enrichment to the lives of children in Indianapolis through after-school programs.
The event will include both a silent and live auction, according to event co-chairs and IU McKinney 2L students Priya Malik and Jessie Walker, who said the goal is to raise $15,000. All proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis.
Live auction items are donated by faculty and staff of the law school, including a Fort Harrison adventure with retired Justice Frank Sullivan, tickets for axe throwing, a luncheon with law school Dean Karen Bravo, a wine tasting evening and more.
Members and businesses from the Indianapolis community will provide silent auction items. Some offerings include wine-tasting tickets, tickets for qualification day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, tickets to Sky Zone and the Indianapolis Zoo, massages and more.
Only 100 people may attend the event, which will be hosted by law professors Stephanie Hoffer and Carrie Hagan. The event will follow the law school’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Attendees will receive two free drink tickets for beverages served at the event to be held in the atrium of the law school at 530 W. New York St.
Tickets must be purchased ahead of time online. General admission is $15 tickets and $10 for students. Donors receive two complimentary tickets.
