The Office of Judicial Administration announced Wednesday morning that the Indiana Supreme Court’s Office of Court Services Executive Director is leaving.

Mary Kay Hudson has worked for the Indiana judicial branch for 30 years, according to a news release.

She first started out as a Marion County probation officer and then a drug treatment diversion coordinator and eventually came to the high court.

Hudson became Executive Director of the Indiana Office of Court Services in 2019.

The office provides education and training for trial judges and staff and serves as a grantor and compliance division for problem-solving courts and other initiatives.

“Mary Kay is a tremendous leader in court reform and best practices to improve outcomes for people involved in the justice system. She has a deep understanding of what it takes to support problem-solving courts and help those seeking treatment for substance use and mental health disorders. Her three-decade career with the Indiana judicial branch has been exemplary, and this next chapter will allow her talents to shine nationally,” Chief Justice Loretta Rush said in a news release.

Hudson has been named as Chief Operations Officer at Virginia-based All Rise, a national treatment association.

All Rise is a national training, membership and advocacy organization for public health and public safety professionals working to advance solutions for individuals impacted by substance use and mental health disorders.

Hudson will be leaving her current position in April.

Information on the search for her successor will be announced at a later date.
