The committee found that the following judges are qualified and should be retained: Linda Brown, John Chavis, Alicia Gooden, Clayton Graham, Amy Jones, James Joven, Helen Marchal, William Nelson, Clark Rogers and Jose Salinas.
Eight of the 10 judges voluntarily participated in an interview process with the committee. During the interviews, judges are asked not only about their successes and challenges in their roles, but also what they hope to see in candidates who might fill vacant spots. Two judges, Brown and Nelson, chose not to submit to interviews.
All 10 judges, as well as eight other incumbent judges previously deemed qualified, will appear on the November ballot for a retention vote.
