I joined the Marion County Probate Court on January 2, 2023.

How long have you been a Marion Superior Court judge? Judicial officer?

Governor Daniels appointed me to the Marion Superior Court on August 1, 2007, and I just celebrated 17 years on the bench.

Other projects, committees, or service roles you are involved in off the bench?

I the president of the Saint Thomas More Society and the Officer David More Food Pantry. I also serve on the boards of Operation Job Ready Vets and Helping Veterans And Families (HVAF) and on advisory boards for Bishop Brute College Seminary, the Notre Dame Club of Indianapolis law alumni, and Lumen Christi School.

Best tip you have for lawyers appearing in your court or criminal law courts in general?

Talk to your client and opposing counsel early and often!

Your mentor(s) and the greatest insight you gained from them?

My grandfather Bill Radack raised 11 children and had more than 50 grandchildren by loving his wife Ruth, working hard, practicing his faith, and drinking Manhattans. His tireless, hard work and fidelity to his principles and family inspire me every day.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love travel, dining, and SCUBA diving, especially with my family. I also volunteer as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader.

If you weren’t a judge, what would you be doing?

I would be a teacher. I enjoy learning and teaching about substance abuse and mental illness in the Indiana University ECHO program.
