The committee interviewed 27 candidates on Oct. 28 and 29 to succeed Marion Superior Court Judges John Hanley and Mark Stoner, who are retiring at the end of the year.
The finalists for one vacancy are: Lawrence Township Small Claims Court Judge Kimberly Bacon and Magistrate Judges Tara Melton and Terrance Tharpe.
Finalists for the second vacancy are: Magistrate Judges Pauline Beeson, Kathrine Melnick Sahlein and James Snyder.
Once Gov. Eric Holcomb officially receives the list of finalists, he will have 60 days to name the two new judges.
