As expected, Kate Winslet gives a stunning performance as journalist Lee Miller. A fashion model and photographer, she became a war correspondent for Vogue in World War II.

She ends up in combat as her journey takes her to concentration and extermination camps. Unfortunately, before going further, it proved to be a lengthy, somewhat boring experience for those in the theatre. While Alexander Skarsgård and Andy Samberg do fine jobs as Lee’s husband and war correspondent partner, respectively, the film danced on the edge of a dull, TV daytime drama.

Nonetheless, you fortunately are able to forget all of that as Lee takes pictures of hundreds of dead Nazi captives executed under Hitler’s rule. At times you see a massive number of dead bodies lying on top of each other. You are left gasping with Lee as you are reminded of the human tragedy unleashed by Hitler.

And let me close by reminding all of you of the significance of Donald Trump admiring Hitler in various ways. This tells you all you need to know about the danger Trump poses as a potential president, and this cannot be ignored.

There is a scene in the film where Hitler is riding in a car as thousands of Germans cheer while giving the Nazi salute.

To be honest, I should also note that my wife, Ms. Monica Foster, and I left for a trip to Antarctica on Oct. 31. If Trump wins, I’m tempted to stay and manage a penguin farm! Better there than coming home and watching democracy being destroyed.•
