Subscribe NowAmber Finley, Corporation Counsel for the City of Lawrence, has been selected to lead the Indianapolis Bar Foundation in 2027. Finley has served various roles of the foundation having first joined the board in January 2020. In her role as corporation counsel, Finley represents the City of Lawrence and its officials in various legal matters and manages litigation and tort claims.
Currently serving as president of the Indianapolis Junior League, Finley is also past president of the Marion County Bar Association and has received numerous professional recognitions. She will serve as the foundation’s First Vice President in 2025 and as President-Elect in 2026.
“We’re thrilled that Amber is generously sharing her skills with the foundation in the coming years. She’s an excellent lawyer and an outstanding leader,” said Julie Armstrong, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation.
The foundation also announced additional attorneys selected for other officer roles with the foundation in 2025. Those include Charley Smith Hunt Suedhoff Kearney LLP as Treasurer and Michael McBride of Cohen & Malad LLP for Secretary. Josh Timmons of Timmons Law was appointed Counsel to the Board. Ranissa Dycus of American Senior Communities will be the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Director.
As determined by previous nomination, Briana Clark of Dentons Bingham Greenebaum will be the 2025 President, and Kent Winingham of Wilson Kehoe & Winingham will be President-Elect. Travis Jensen of Johnson Jensen, current IndyBar Foundation President, will remain on the board as Immediate Past President.
Chosen to join the 2025 Board as Directors serving two-year terms of office include Matthew Barr of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Matthew Brown of the Office of Management and Budget for the State of Indiana, and Richard Kraege of The Mediation Group.
The 2025 Board of Directors will be celebrated at the Indianapolis Bar Association and Foundation Installation Breakfast, to be held January 30, 2025. Registration is open now at www.indybar.org/installation.•
