As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowA deputy prosecutor of Madison County was appointed as Madison Circuit judge Sunday by Gov. Mitch Daniels. Rudolph R. Pyle III succeeds Judge Fredrick Spencer, who resigned Sept. 25.
Pyle is also a professor at Anderson University. He previously worked in private practice and served as a law clerk for Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Carr Darden. Prior to becoming an attorney, Pyle was a trooper with the Indiana State Police. He received his law degree from what is now the Indiana University Maurer School of Law – Bloomington.
Pyle will be sworn in at a later date yet to be determined. Judge Spencer announced his resignation in late September amid a new investigation into his alleged misconduct during a 2007 murder trial.
