Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller filed lawsuits today against five foreclosure consulting companies accused of violating state laws. Zoeller filed the suits in Boone, Clark, Delaware, Grant, and Marion counties against Foreclosure Assistance LLC, Arizona; Homeownership Preservation Group LLC, Florida; You Walk Away LLC, California; American Mitigation Group Inc., California; and Foreclosure Relief Agency LLC, California.
The lawsuits cite violations of the Deceptive Consumer Sales Act, Credit Services Organizations Act, and the Mortgage Rescue Protection Fraud Act.
