Anita M. Carpenter, CEO of INCASA, will begin her walk in Richmond on Sept. 5, walk 150-miles alone across central Indiana, and finish in Terre Haute on Sept. 14. She said her walk demonstrates the long journey many survivors of sexual assault go through on their own.
Despite walking alone, Carpenter hopes her journey will create a ripple effect of new awareness and support. Information on how to donate can be found on INCASA's Web site.
INCASA is a private, non-profit organization committed to advocacy, training, public awareness, information, and support to professionals, survivors, and communities regarding sexual violence.
