In Paul L. Mishler v. State, No. 20A03-0712-CR-577, Chief Judge John Baker and Judges Edward Najam and Paul Mathias will have to decide whether an error occurred when the trial court admitted the child victim's pretrial statements and videotaped interview into evidence at trial. Mishler argues the admission of the victim's statements violated his right to confront witnesses testifying against him and the statements and interview failed to satisfy the admissibility requirements of Indiana's "Protected Person Statute."
Arguments begin at 6 p.m. in Moot Court Room 123 at Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington.
