The Sagamore Institute for Policy Research is hosting a luncheon Friday to examine how to improve the health of women in contemporary society.

The event, “Improving Women’s Health through Law and Policy,” features Linda Chezem, professor at Indiana University and Purdue University, and former Indiana Court of Appeals judge; Krieg DeVault attorney Leah Mannweiler; Dr. Kathy D. Miller, associate director for clinical research at IU Simon Cancer Center; and Tanya Parrish, director of the Office of Women’s Health in the Indiana State Department of Health.

The luncheon is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Indiana State Library, History Reference Room, 140 N. Senate Ave., Indianapolis. The cost is $10, which can be paid at the door; reservations are required to attend the event. To RSVP, contact Susan Stinn at the Sagamore Institute by e-mail, [email protected], or by phone, (317) 472-2053.

Although the deadline to RSVP is today, Stinn said she would still accept reservations made on Wednesday.
