Dawn Johnsen will serve as part of the Department of Justice Review Team. Johnsen served in the Department of Justice under President Bill Clinton as the Acting Assistant Attorney General, heading the Office of Legal Counsel in 1997-1998, and as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in 1993-1996. Johnsen also served on the Clinton transition team in 1992.
Johnsen will continue her full teaching duties at the law school during the transition. She joined IU School of Law – Bloomington in 1998 and teaches courses on constitutional law, the First Amendment, civil rights/civil liberties, and presidential power.
