Subscribe NowThe Indiana Supreme Court is sponsoring a lecture by the chief justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court, titled "Abraham Lincoln: Lawyer in the White House." Chief Justice Frank Williams is a scholar and major collector of Lincoln paraphernalia.
The chief justice is a founding chairman of the Lincoln Forum, a member of the U.S. Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, and chair of the Rhode Island Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
Justice Williams has written several books about Lincoln and is currently working on an annotated bibliography of all books and pamphlets written about the president.
The lecture is free and open to the public, and starts at 5 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Wynne Courtroom at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.
