The Indianapolis Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society will host a discussion May 12 about the recent Supreme
Court of the United States decision Citizens United.
Doug Kendall, founder and president of Constitutional Accountability Center, and David Pippen, general counsel in the Office
of Gov. Mitch Daniels, will discuss whether corporations have the same rights as individuals when it comes to influencing
electoral politics. Michael J. Pitts, associate professor at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, will serve
as moderator.
The event is at noon in the south atrium of the Indiana Statehouse, 200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis. There are 1.5 hours
of CLE pending for the event, which is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP.
