The Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission and Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications are looking for a new attorney
member.

Attorneys in good standing and admitted to the bar who live in the second geographic district of the Indiana Court of Appeals
are eligible to be nominated. Counties that make up the district are: Adams, Blackford, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Delaware,
Grant, Hamilton, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Madison, Marion, Miami, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Wabash, Wells, and White.
A candidate has to be registered with the clerk of the Indiana Supreme Court and must be nominated by 30 attorneys who are
admitted to practice who also live in the second district and are registered with the clerk’s office. Candidates must
also consent in writing to the nomination. The three-year term will begin Jan. 1, 2011. The attorney will serve on both the
nominating commission and the Judicial Qualifications Commission.
Nominating petition forms are available at the records department of the clerk’s office and by e-mailing [email protected].
The records department must receive the original petition and the nominee’s written consent by 4 p.m. Sept. 10 to qualify.
Only mailed petitions are accepted and may be sent to Office of the Clerk of the Indiana Supreme Court, 402 W. Washington
St., Room W062, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
Second district attorneys will receive ballots and biographies in October with ballots due in mid-November.
