The Indiana State Bar Association has extended the early bird registration deadline for its Solo & Small Firm Conference to May 23. The original early registration deadline was May 18, but after Gov. Mitch Daniels declared a state of emergency for 34 Indiana counties in southern Indiana on May 17, that early registration date was extended.  The conference is in French Lick, which is in Orange County, one of the counties listed in Daniels’ order.

In a statement on its website, the ISBA said that it wanted lawyers in the disaster counties to be able to attend the conference, and that was the primary motivation for extending the deadline: “It is hoped that this extension will give some of our southern Indiana colleagues a chance to catch their breath so that they can participate in this outstanding event while it is so close to home for them.”

Registration information for the event, which is June 2 to June 4, is at on the ISBA website.
