The Lind Law Firm opened on June 6.
“The firm I’m currently with has a national Social Security practice, and they’re going great guns,” he told Indiana Lawyer on his last day at Fleschner Stark Tanoos & Newlin. “My practice is primarily non-Social Security, and building a firm is something I always wanted to do,” he said.
“All firms have their own atmosphere or culture. No particular firm culture is necessarily bad, but it is my hope that starting from scratch will provide the opportunity to build a firm atmosphere and culture that fits well with the type of practice that I have and that my new firm branches out into,” Lind said.
Lind has hired a legal secretary, receptionist, and Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis graduate Matt Sheehan as an associate for the 3,500-square-foot Terre Haute office. Sheehan’s focus will be criminal defense and real estate law. Lind will handle general civil litigation and transactional issues.
Lind has lived and practiced law in Terre Haute since 1988. He graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 1988 and is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Indiana.•
