The bankruptcy court has revised the model Chapter 13 form plan due to changes to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure concerning claims secured by mortgages on real estate. The new form is to be used for all plans and amended plans filed on and after Dec. 1.
Due to new Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 3002.1 – which becomes effective Thursday – some existing Electronic Case File events have been changed and some new mortgage claims-related events have been added. The new rule also introduces the concept of supplements to the claims register.
The court is also providing basic training on changes to claims information in CM/ECF. The changes will match up better with the changes to the proof of claim form made in April 2010.
For more information on these changes, visit the court’s website.
Also starting Thursday, the clerk’s offices in all divisions of the Northern District will no longer provide change when making a transaction at the counter. Only the exact amount of the transaction, whether in cash, checks or money orders, will be accepted.
