Democratic Judges John Hanley and Mark Stoner will both retire on Dec. 31 creating vacancies in the major felony and family divisions.
The applicant pool is split in half of judges and attorneys.

The committee led by Justice Derek Molter will be meeting on Sept. 16 for executive session to discuss the applicants.
Interviews will be held on Oct. 28 and 29. Following the interviews the committee will go into executive session and then publicly vote to select two separate panels of three nominees each to send to Gov. Eric Holcomb for appointment.
