The Indiana Supreme Court granted transfer to two cases last week, in which they issued decisions, and denied transfer to eight other cases.

The justices took Rickey D. Whitaker v. Travis M. Becker, No. 02S03-1201-CT-27, with a majority finding the trial court was within its discretion to dismiss a personal injury action because of the plaintiff’s attorney’s actions; and A.T. v. State of Indiana, No. 49S02-1201-JV-26, in which the high court reversed A.T.’s determinate commitment.

The high court unanimously denied transfer to six cases and a majority agreed to not grant transfer to two cases.
