Mark Massa, the state’s newest justice, will be sworn in April 2. Former Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard will administer the oath. A public, formal swearing-in ceremony will be scheduled for a later date.

Massa was executive director of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute when Gov. Mitch Daniels selected him to be the 107th state justice. Massa previously served as general counsel to Daniels before resigning to run for Marion County Prosecutor in 2010. Massa replaces Shepard, who left the Supreme Court March 23.
