Beginning Monday, the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Indiana will require online credit card payments, via CM/ECF, for filing fees associated with civil and criminal notices of appeal.

All electronic case filers are required to use Pay.gov Internet pay module in CM/ECF and users will be automatically directed to Pay.gov at the time the notice of appeal event is filed, according to a court order.

The order also outlines the procedures for refunding duplicate or erroneously paid filing fees generated during the electronic filing of documents.

Instructions on how to use Pay.gov are also available.
