The commission had whittled down the number of applicants from 22 to 10 in July, and then to three Wednesday evening.
One of the finalists will replace Justice Frank Sullivan Jr., who retired from the court July 31 to teach at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
The other semifinalists were: Hon. Cale J. Bradford, Indiana Court of Appeals. Hon. Frances M. Gull, Allen Superior Court; Ms. Erin Reilly Lewis, Indianapolis; Ms. Andrielle M. Metzel, Indianapolis; Hon. Marianne L. Vorhees, Delaware Circuit Court 1; Hon. Mary G. Willis, Henry Circuit Court 1; and Mr. John P. Young, Indianapolis.
Once Gov. Mitch Daniels receives the letter from the commission recommending the three finalists, he has 60 days to make his appointment.
