United States Bankruptcy Judge Robyn L. Moberly will be formally sworn-in at a ceremony Friday at the Birch Bayh Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Indianapolis.

Moberly joined the Southern District Bankruptcy Court following Judge Anthony J. Metz III’s retirement on Nov. 1. Before becoming a federal judge, Moberly was a superior judge in Marion County. She also worked in private practice from 1978-1997.

U.S. Bankruptcy judges are appointed by the judges of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals for a 14-year term.

Chief Judge Richard Young of the Southern District of Indiana will preside over the ceremony.
