The International Association of Defense Counsel has appointed *Michael E. Brown, senior partner at Kightlinger & Gray LLP in Indianapolis, as director of the 2014 Professional Liability Roundtable which will be held May 8, 2014, at the University of Chicago. The IADC is a global legal organization of attorneys representing corporate and insurance interests.

Indiana Department of Child Services attorney Luke Britt has been appointed by Gov. Mike Pence as the Indiana public access counselor. Marion County Prosecutor’s Office assistant supervisor Charles Miller has been named to the Indiana Parole Board by Gov. Mike Pence. Ted Holaday, senior administrative law judge at the Indiana Board of Tax Review, and Jon Elrod, attorney, have been named to the Indiana Board of Tax Review by Gov. Mike Pence. Awards & Honors Barbara Williams, of Williams Law P.C., received the Albion Fellows Bacon Award from Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winneke at the Women’s Equality Day celebration. Williams is the first attorney to receive this award. Firm and Agency Recognitions The U.S. Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women has awarded the Family Justice Center of St. Joseph County a two-year grant to support its work with the Protective Order Project.
