The notice of contracting opportunity was posted Friday on the state courts website with responses due Sept. 15. The manager will be required to work with multiple e-filing service providers certified by the division, according to the notice.
In May, the Indiana Supreme Court issued an order that set a timetable for switching to e-filing in state courts beginning next year. It’s anticipated that the system will be supported by fees.
Responses from prospective managers must include plans for rolling out pilot projects in trial and appellate courts using various case management systems. The contract for an e-filing manager will be for a time period up to five years, and the division expects to execute a contract by Dec. 31, according to the notice.
