Police officers and federal agents searched the Centers for Pain Relief office in Muncie on Monday, seeking patient files and prescription records.
The clinic is among a dozen the Fort Wayne-based center has in northern and eastern Indiana. The state medical board last year put clinic president Dr. William Hedrick's medical license on probation over his prescription practices.
Hedrick has denied wrongdoing in the past. He declined to talk with The Star Press as he left the Muncie clinic Monday.
The application for the Muncie search warrant lists eight drug overdose deaths of patients who received prescriptions from Hedrick's clinics between January 2013 and July 2014.
