A “train the trainer” event Tuesday aims to provide tools to increase youth awareness of human trafficking and sexual exploitation crimes.

The “Empowering Youth to End Sexual Exploitation” training will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Professionals who work to prevent human trafficking and sexual violence along with representatives from social and victim-service agencies, universities and schools will receive training.

The event is hosted by Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller and sponsored by the Indiana Youth Services Association, Restored, Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, and the Indiana Protection for Abused and Trafficked Humans task force (IPATH), which Zoeller co-chairs.

The attorney general’s office conducts on-site human trafficking training events with various organizations, businesses and clubs throughout the state of Indiana. To schedule a training event, contact [email protected].
