Government Practice Section Awards Scholarship to IU McKinney Student
The Government Practice Section has awarded its fourth annual scholarship to Drew Kirages of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. As attorneys who represent government agencies or who assist clients in matters involving government agencies, the members of the Government Practice Section award the $1,000 scholarship to a second- or third-year law student who attends one of Indiana’s four law schools and who demonstrates a strong academic record and an interest in government practice. The section commends Mr. Kirages for standing out among a group of intelligent, motivated and service-minded applicants.
Volunteers Needed for Ask a Lawyer
Both attorneys and paralegals are needed to assist the public with legal guidance during the Spring 2016 Ask A Lawyer program on Tuesday, April 12. Volunteers are being sought for one of two shifts (2 to 4 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.) at the library locations throughout the city. To volunteer, contact Caren Chopp at [email protected].
IndyBar Holiday Closings
Please note that the Indianapolis Bar Association and Foundation office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27. The office will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 30.•
