The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday that Dr. Ulrich Klopfer has fulfilled terms of a pretrial diversion program he entered after being charged last year with failing to report an abortion performed at the Women's Pavilion on a 13-year-old in 2013.
State law requires such reports be filed within three days, but Klopfer didn't do so for six months.
The office says Klopfer was required to pay user's fees and court costs, perform 24 hours of community service, and not commit any crimes during the diversion period. A message seeking comment was left at a residence listed in Klopfer's name in Gary. He formerly resided in Crete, Illinois.
